Books at One in Louisburgh, County Mayo first opened its doors in 2016 and will be celebrating its 10th birthday this July. A thriving community hub located just outside of Westport and nestled between Ireland’s holy mountain, Croagh Patrick, and Connaught’s highest mountain Mweelrea, it is also home to a co- working space and art gallery showcasing beautiful exhibitions throughout the year.

About the Shop

Our bookshop thrives as a gathering place for a wonderful community of creators, readers, and friends. The weeks here are filled with Ukrainian-English classes, knitting and art clubs, book club, ‘Caint agus Comhrá’, ‘Conversations with Death’, and cozy film nights as the seasons change. Each month, we welcome little ones for Storytime, while the West Mayo Writers’ Group gathers upstairs to share their work.
